Seasonal Popularity

Overview

Mount Seymour Provincial Park is a protected area in North Vancouver, British Columbia that has free, year round outdoor activities and also a privately operated resort with ski hills and snowshoe trails separate from the free trails outside the resort boundaries.

Getting Started

Park at or near the top parking lot. During the winter season when the resort is open, staff will tell you where to go.

When to Go

The park is most popular in the winter ski season, but is a favourite summer hiking spot as well. In the summer there is no problem with parking or access. In the winter, park visitors wanting to beat the crowds should arrive early and follow the signs to the provincial park areas.

Permits

The park itself is free, however the resort is not. There are free trails adjacent to the resort, but make sure to stay within park boundaries to avoid dangerous areas. The park trails are well traveled year-round.

Dog Info

The park has plenty of black bears. They’re afraid of people, but dogs can complicate things. That said, dogs are extremely common on the popular trails. Use common sense.
