Done clockwise, it’s a great half day loop through high elevation. With a hunters cabin about 1/3 of the way through, and chute lk lodge about 2/3 through for a pint on the home stretch.

The trail is well taken care of and very popular locally so I suggest going early in the day as when we left just after 11 am the parking lot was completely full. You can make a full day of this either hiking or biking and there are many places to stop and enjoy the view. Bring a jacket as the weather can change quickly.
