Palácio de Pena is beautiful, definitely worth seeing, but the forest around it is one of the most diverse forest I ever been in.
Ignore the elevation gain and the mileage (we only did about 9 miles total and maybe 2000ft elevation gain - Gaia gpa is losing it sometimes).
