Amazing hike, the day after the first snow of the season. The top half of the hike was either wading through a small river of snow melt down the center of the trail, or scrambling across snow covered rocks.
View was/is entirely worth the trek!

Any 4X4 can make this trip. Backtracking is needed. The view was good. Definitely worth going on it at least once.

This is a great 4X4 trail. No skill is needed to safely make this trail. No backtracking is needed. We traveled the route at the end of October. Expect some snow. Great views. Great camping spots. Would definitely recommend and would take again.

Fast smooth trail. Quick and easy. Fun if you like to go fast. Nothing special if you’re driving slower.

I enjoyed this hike. I did it the easy way, gondola up and then hike down. An unexpected treat was seeing a grizzly eating huckleberries (from a fair distance away) The trail crosses a few mountain bike trails but there are good warning signs.

Steady challenging grade with amazing views of the valley. Just need to be patient and cautious on the road to Camp Misery.

Nothing like the twisties and riding the tarmac on the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir just rocks. Pavement ends in due time but just turn around and go back where you came from and it’s a whole new ride!!
