Beautiful trail almost no people and not too hard, but the visibility was extremely far with the trees so high highly recommended.

This is a moderate difficulty hike from the parking lot to the lemon-squeezer on the AT.
Relatively heavily traveled. Get there early or off season to get a parking spot.

Truly lovely but some traumatic falls due to wet conditions but still beautiful. Campers at the shelter but otherwise quiet. Do had a couple of bad falls. One needed stitches.

Great trail for experienced hikers. We had fun. It is a developed trail for the most part. Gaia map helped a lot for tracking the trail and course correction here and there. Great views of the lake from the hills. Completing the trail will take more than 3 hours.

Views from top of mountains were fantastic. The trails were rugged but unremarkable for most of the hike. Except for almost stepping on a rattlesnake and backtracking when a huge black bear blocked our trail.

This my favorite 15 mile hike from the Tuxedo train station. I can do this hike in a little over 6 hours which is good.
The return trip on W-B can be muddy.

Awesome and challenging hike. Many rocks and ups and downs. Saw wild turkeys, deer and 2 snakes but no bears 🐻🥲. Great day on the trail.

Absolutely amazing hike. The climb to the top of the mountain was moderate; that goes for the whole trail. Really beautiful scenery and a bit of all kinds of natural surroundings. Crazy views at the summit for such a moderate hike. Micro spikes are necessary during the winter. Overall a great challenge and workout with amazing views and very nice scenery. One note is that it is extremely easy to venture off onto the wrong trail. Pay close attention to GPS.

This hike starts in the white Trail across the parking in CR 106. Done in a counterclockwise direction along the Ramapo- Dunderberg Trail towards the Hogencamp Mountain Summit. The trail will continue along the Long Path/Arden-Surebridge Trail towards Surebridge Mountain and via the AT long path towards Island Pond Mountain. The Lemon Squeezer will be the last challenge of this loop and the whole hike will end in the parking via the White Bar Trail.

TOUGH!! Doing this in a day is intense. If you want a feel for the Highlands, if you want to experience what it is that defines this region in terms of terrain and landscapes, this is the hike to do. Beautiful throughout. Plenty of far reaching views, lovely park like forests, songbirds galore, and sections of pine and hemlock that give you that “northern” feel. BEWARE!! Very little water on this trail in late May. And what was available left much to be desired. Plan accordingly! Black Flies were an absolute annoyance during the afternoon. LOTS of brush on this trail which means, check yourself for ticks often. This is a rollercoaster of a hike. Give yourself at least 10 hours to complete.... Classic trek....

The first half of this short thru-hike is wonderful. Nice, stiff climb up to Claudius Smith’s den. I love this place. Makes me feel like a kid again, exploring the nooks and crannies of this crag. The view from on top is beautiful. Pretty, quiet forests, rolling terrain, and the perfect spot for a break at Lake Sebago. The section just beyond the damn is gorgeous. Second half wasn’t as scenic or interesting but peaceful none the less.

Nice climb up the escarpment. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a nice, quiet stroll through hardwood forests and past a couple of swamps. Third Reservoir was the highlight. Great little lunch spot :)

Great hike with amazing waterfall views. Terrain varies from ridge top rock to steep slopes and inclined to river/ stream crossings. The lemon squeezer was a must see! Not a beginner hike. Recommend good footwear as there are lots of rock along this trail.

Began this hike from the Tuxedo Train station where I took the train to Suffern, walked to the trailhead under the NYS Thruway on Rt 59. It was a long, buggy hike. Needed a head net. By the time I finished I was exhausted. Should have picked a cooler day with lower humidity.
All in, the trail runs along some of the better known routes through Harriman, but that doesn’t mean you should let your guard down and not pay attention to trail junctions, which are always hard to spot. The one trail I should have avoided, and will do so in the future, is the Stony Brook. It runs along the brook, with root mounds and rocks on every step. In fact the whole Stony Brook trail from its beginning on Seven lakes drive in to Reeves visitor center, and from the Pine Meadow junction back out to Seven Lakes drive should be reworked. It would be better along the hillside just to the east.

Great hike, began with mosquitos but got better as we went up in elevation and breeze came up. Parking was open and not a problem on a Monday. We only saw a group of 3 on the trail and that was only on our return route. New to me coming from CA is how trees are coded by color and design for direction and trail beginnings/ends. Trails were very clean and scenery except for a bit of haze were gorgeous.

Good Yosemite practice. Rocky uphill climb of about 800 ft. Balance follows ridge line back to parking with inland views. Mostly broken ground with rock. Could be made longer
