Walked the creek trail to ~0.9 mi then headed uphill following blue blazes to the ponds next to Big Egypt Rd.

Started with creek trail then returned on AP. This was a wise choice. Glad I used my boots for ankle protection. Creek has multiple crossings that will prove impassable as waters rise with spring showers. Typical mud/flooding but passable right now. Now is the time to visit. Creek trail is difficult, but I did it! 😉

A wonderful intro to the Poconos. Beautiful woodlands and a steep descent to (and later ascent from) an impressive waterfall. It was hazy but there are some impressive views once you climb back up from the falls. The trail was very well marked.

Hiked this trail many times in my youth and even camped out a couple times, this was the first time with my eldest son! He loved it!!!

Great view at the first lookout and multiple points with a view.
Spring could be pretty with lotus pond at the beginning of the trail.
