January 20,2023 Snow was frozen but wore snowshoes anyway. 15* when we started at 8am. Enjoyed our time alone as we saw no one else. Little fresh powder would have been nice. Would do again.

grain of salt: it was my first summit, ever. 37 and feeling accomplished.
it was cloudy. and snowy. we basically hiked up into a pile of fog.
and yet! it was an excellent hike, challenging without being painful, and a great way to spend time with the 10 folx in the mountaineering course (with Ascent Fitness).
we hiked to Iron Peak. i would love to return and get up Teanaway Peak, a bit more technical of a climb.
